The Little Havana Miami Fashion Experience

1167 SW 6th St, Little Havana
A runway built around streetwear, Cuban-inspired design, eveningwear and live music, connecting Miami and Philadelphia creative cultures. This is probably the cleanest CHR fashion story of the week because clothing, neighborhood identity, music and Caribbean influence are all present at once.
02. DANCE PICK
CYPHER DIVINE – Break Jam
Tue. Sept. 15 + Thu. Sept. 17, 9 PM–midnight,
The recurring open-floor breaking cypher remains CHR’s best live Movement Wear laboratory. Central Command confirms the twice-weekly break jam and describes itself as a Miami hub for hip-hop, art and youth culture.
03. RETAIL PICK
The Muse Market
Sun. Sept. 20, 6 PM,
Women working across music, fashion, photography and visual art take over the space, with Anycia headlining and additional woman-led creative activations. This lands directly inside CHR’s music × movement × culture world and should attract precisely the sort of creative audience worth understanding.
04. MORE DANCE
The Disco Express
Fri. Sept. 18, 8 PM–2 AM,
London-born disco, nu-disco, house and soulful dance music arrive in Little Haiti. It is especially useful for CHR because this crowd sits between vinyl culture, grown-up nightlife and actual dance-floor dressing, rather than big-room clubwear.
05. Art
HOMO SARGASSUM: Art, Ecology + Caribbean Futures
Thu. Sept. 17, 6:30–9 PM,
Film, live performance and an art-science conversation examine Sargassum and Caribbean coastal life. Less literal fashion, but highly relevant to CHR’s interest in materials, climate, Caribbean identity and the physical environment clothes must function within.
06. Fashion
Karibe September Social
Sat. Sept. 19, 9:30 PM–2 AM,
Bachata class, salsa/bachata/merengue social dancing and midnight performances. This is particularly useful for seeing close-partner movement, and what people actually choose to wear when dancing for several hours.
The CHR story of the week
Last week was heavy on runway and spectacle.
This week gets closer to the machinery underneath culture.
Miami gives us streetwear, Little Havana, breaking and the creative women building scenes around music and art. Brooklyn gives us fiber, handmade process, flamenco, African dance and roller-floor culture.
