Saturday, August 29 | 5 PM | The Sultan Room Rooftop, Bushwick
Monday Blue, DJ Blessed and Zoë Veranda take over the rooftop for an event dedicated to women behind the decks, with vinyl at the center and hip-hop, R&B, soul, funk and dance music in the orbit.
Monday Blue herself founded Doyennes of Disc as a vinyl party celebrating women selectors, and her broader work explicitly connects DJing with movement and dance-floor culture.

2. SAZONAO
Friday, August 28 | 10 PM–4 AM | Friends & Lovers, Crown Heights
DJ Woof and Spuddy Roots on percussion move through Reggaeton, Afrobeat, Dembow, Dancehall, Cumbia and pop, with Friends & Lovers explicitly describing the night as running through “the rhythms of the diaspora.”
Why CHR??
Enormously high. This is in Crown Heights, genre-fluid, dance-centered, diasporic and hosted at a venue that describes itself as a community space built around music and connection rather than status.
3. The Nursery: Leon Vynehall All Day Long
Sunday, August 30 | 3–9 PM | Public Records
Leon Vynehall plays open-to-close in The Nursery. Public Records describes his approach as breaking apart house and techno and rebuilding them with a diverse, emotive vocabulary.
Why CHR??
Deep house, long-form DJ storytelling, daylight-to-evening movement and one of Brooklyn's most design-conscious music environments. Public Records itself explicitly works at the intersections of sound, design, hospitality, ecology and community.
4. 690 Woodward Crew, All Vinyl
Saturday, August 29 | 5 PM | Moondog HiFi, Bushwick
Moondog describes the night as the 690 Woodward Garage Crew bringing the spirit of their Ridgewood record shop into the listening room for an all-vinyl session, moving from deep crates and dusty gems to dancefloor finds.
Why CHR??
This is exactly the smaller-scale culture Radar should protect from being buried beneath headline DJs. Records, digging, discovery, community and people who actually care about how music is selected.
5. Mochakk + DJ Minx b2b DJ Holographic + Anastazja
Saturday, August 29 | 7 PM–midnight | Under the K Bridge
Mochakk headlines a proper house bill with Detroit's DJ Minx b2b DJ Holographic and Anastazja. The event is categorized as house/tech house and presented by The Bowery Presents.
Why CHR??
This is the scale play. The lineup gives you established house culture and women selectors in a large outdoor Brooklyn environment.
Two smaller-room alternates deserve a Radar mention.
BeBop Porú at Friends & Lovers on Saturday takes a rhythmic journey through Africa, the Caribbean, South America and North America, while Sunday's Dessert Disco pairs food with international disco, funk and classic house played on vinyl.
Both are unusually CHR-compatible.
