CHR Radar Miami | Shermanology, Arapu, The Shrine + More - August 28–30, 2026
Miami is strongest where underground house meets Caribbean and diasporic rhythm.
1. ⭐ CHR PICK: Shermanology (Live), GiZ & Kamcoco
Saturday, August 29 | 9 PM–2 AM |ZeyZey
This is the most complete CHR match in Miami this weekend. Caribbean-Dutch brother-sister duo Shermanology brings a combination of ’90s house, soul and funk, while GiZ leans uptempo disco-electro-house. Current listings categorize the night around garage and tech house, and RSVP admission is currently free.
Why CHR??
The Sweet spot between house lineage, soul, Caribbean identity, performance, movement and a stylish outdoor Miami environment.
2. Pickle Surprise
Saturday, August 29 | 5 PM–3 AM | Lion’s Den
The Pickle crew starts outdoors through golden hour and then moves inside as the night deepens. The bill includes Will Renuart, Terence Tabeau, Gio Elia, Manumat and D. FOOQ’s Benton, with the event specifically calling out the Pickle Vinyl Headz.
Why CHR??
Miami underground lineage, vinyl culture, local selectors and ritualized nightlife.
3. The Shrine: Afrobeats + Caribbean Heat
Saturday, August 29 | 10 PM–2 AM | Red Rooster Overtown
The Shrine brings Afrobeats, Amapiano and Caribbean music upstairs at Red Rooster in Overtown. The official Miami destination listing describes it specifically as a gathering built around diasporic rhythm, movement and connection.
Why CHR??
Culture, diaspora, dance, nightlife, music and neighborhood context all converge here.
4. Arapu & Roustam b2b Danyelino
Friday, August 28 | 10 PM–4 AM | Jolene Downtown Miami
Resident Advisor has made this an RA Pick. The bill brings Arapu, Roustam b2b Danyelino, plus Nikita Green b2b Grant Sabadash, with house and hypnotic minimal driving the room.
Why CHR??
Serious selectors, an intimate basement sound room and musical programming that expects the listener to pay attention. This is closer to DJ culture than generic nightlife.
5. Sinopoli All Night Long
Friday, August 28 | 11 PM–5 AM | Floyd
David Sinopoli takes Floyd for an extended set spanning acid house, Afro house, tech house, techno and related electronic territory. More interesting editorially, Sinopoli is the founder of III Points and a co-owner of Club Space, The Ground and Floyd.
Why CHR??
This is a chance to see a scene-builder behind the decks, not only a touring DJ. CHR can learn a lot from people who understand the relationship between programming, venue, audience and cultural identity.
Miami wildcard:
Reggae Bash World at Casa Nube Wynwood on Saturday at 11 PM is pure reggae, dancehall, soca and Afrobeats, making it a strong secondary Radar inclusion if we want to widen the genre balance beyond house.
***A very different Sunday closer is A Night of Afrobeat & Latin Jazz, a free program connecting Afrobeat, soul, jazz, Cuban rumba, son, timba, samba and Gnawa influences between Lummus Park and The Betsy. It is less nightlife, but extremely good CHR cultural material.
