CHR Miami Music / DJ / Dance Radar | October 30–November 1, 2026

October 30 – November 1, 2026 | Follow the sound. Find the dance floor.

For Halloween weekend, we are choosing musical range over spectacle: garage-house history, Latin club experiments, basement selectors and dancers who make the music visible. These are our strongest Miami picks, ranked for CHR readers rather than by the size of the headliner.

1. Hocus Pocus: a three-night warehouse takeover

Fri Oct 30–Sun Nov 1; nightly | Factory Town, 4800 NW 37th Ave, Miami/Hialeah

More than 100 artists spread across five stages. Our musical route is selective: Friday pairs New York garage innovator Todd Edwards with UK garage’s Conducta, while Saturday brings Kerri Chandler, Apollonia and Skream. Sunday offers Jayda G, Eli Escobar, Special Request and Chase & Status. Bigger does not automatically mean better, but this festival gives a curious listener several rooms worth exploring.

CHR pick: Garage-house history, deep house, cross-scene DJs and movement-friendly event design.

2. Sarah Tonin: Strange Creatures

Fri Oct 30; 10 p.m. onward | Paraiso Estereo, 1306 N Miami Ave

A 12-hour underground session with electro-cumbia from Los Refrescos, live sets from Dandy Jack and Argenis Brito, international guests and a deep bench of Miami selectors. The blend of Latin percussion, dubby minimalism and smaller-room programming gives this one a strong cultural identity.

CHR pick: Local DJ connections, electro-cumbia, long-form underground listening and multicultural dance.

Event / source: Official event information and tickets

3. Salsaholics Halloween: salsa, bachata and live percussion

Sat Oct 31; 9 p.m.–2 a.m. | DanceArts Miami, 250 NE 61st St

A genuine social-dance night, with an On2 salsa workshop led by Angie Zumaran, two rooms and a salsa lineup featuring DJ Mike Calderon, Eduardo Cano on congas and Sasha Rodriguez on timbales. Bachata has a separate room, so participation is central to the night rather than an accessory to a DJ set.

CHR pick: Top Movement Wear research opportunity: turns, partner frame, torso movement and what dancers choose to wear for hours.

Event / source: Official event information and tickets

4. Perreo Del Futuro: Halloween

Sat Oct 31; from 11 p.m. | The Ground, 34 NE 11th St

The Miami-based party links dembow, reggaeton, baile funk and club experiments with a lineup including Manuka Honey, TSVI/Anunaku, SATURNSARii, MR. BITCH, Maracuyá and yung_womb. This is the kind of dance floor that refuses to keep Caribbean and Latin rhythm in a separate genre box.

CHR pick: Contemporary Latin club movement, audience-building and DJ crossover research.

5. Fleetmac Wood + Horror HiFi

Fri Oct 30; 11 p.m.–2 a.m. | ZeyZey, 353 NE 61st St

Roxanne Roll and Alex Oxley bring a Fleetwood Mac edit-driven audiovisual dance project, alongside a darker Horror HiFi set. The interest is not nostalgia alone. A reworked familiar recording can change the way a room moves and listens.

CHR pick: Edit culture, familiar music in an unexpected context and DJ storytelling.

Event / source: Official event information and tickets

6. Mira at Do Not Sit On Halloween

Fri Oct 30; 10 p.m.–5 a.m. | Do Not Sit On The Furniture, 423 16th St, Miami Beach

Mira leads an intimate deep-house night with support from Surreal Flight. Choose this when a focused room and steady musical development sound better than competing for attention across several stages.

CHR pick: Deep-house curation, smaller-format nightlife and a serious dance floor.

Event / source: Official event information and tickets

7. Bandshell cultural wildcard: Rocky Horror & Day of the Dead

Sun Nov 1; 7–10 p.m. | Miami Beach Bandshell, 7275 Collins Ave

The Bandshell’s confirmed weekend listing pairs O Cinema’s Rocky Horror screening with a Día de los Muertos celebration, shadow cast and costume culture. This is not our headline music pick, but it belongs on the radar for readers interested in performance, community ritual and expressive style.

CHR pick: Cultural performance and visual inspiration; not a standard DJ or dance event.

Event / source: Official event information and tickets

The CHR move

Our top music story is Hocus Pocus, particularly Todd Edwards B2B Conducta on Friday and Kerri Chandler on Saturday. For an event where dancing itself is the subject, choose Salsaholics. Strange Creatures offers the strongest smaller-room networking opportunity; Perreo Del Futuro brings Latin club sounds to the front.

Before heading out: Check the organizer for entry rules and updated set times. Daylight saving time ends Sunday, November 1 at 2 a.m.; late-night listings can cross the clock change.
