CHR Miami Music Radar: III Points, Garage & Salsa | October 16–18, 2026 | Follow the Sound

Crown Heights Radio Music / DJ / Dance Radar

Miami The best weekend plans leave room for discovery: a DJ you came to hear, a record you didn’t recognize, a dance floor that changes the evening.

For this edition of CHR Radar, we’re choosing musical range over genre boundaries. These are our picks for listeners, dancers and anyone who believes the person selecting the music still matters.

1. III Points Music Festival

Friday–Saturday, October 16–17 | 4 p.m.–4 a.m. each day
Mana Wynwood, Miami

III Points leads this weekend’s Radar with a lineup connecting underground electronic music, hip-hop and contemporary soul. Honey Dijon, Flying Lotus, Lil’ Kim, Four Tet, Underworld and Blood Orange are among the artists appearing across the festival’s two days. Thirteen stages give the weekend room to move well beyond its biggest names.

For CHR, the attraction is the possibility of hearing those worlds alongside each other. Follow a familiar artist, then give an unfamiliar stage some time. A good festival should send you home with more music than you arrived with.

(Official Satellite schedule)

CHR pick for: Musical discovery, international artists and exploring beyond your usual sound.

2. Interplanetary Criminal, Sam Alfred, Jubilee + More

Sunday, October 18 | 2 p.m.–midnight
ZeyZey, Little Haiti

Sunday puts garage on the front foot.

Interplanetary Criminal joins Sam Alfred, Jubilee, Carozilla and DB Cooper under ZeyZey’s banyan tree, with Generous B & Friends programming the Tima Disco. The musical connections run through UK garage, ’90s-inspired house, Miami bass and broader underground club sounds.

This is one of the weekend’s strongest CHR matches. We like dance music with swing, personality and enough rhythmic variation to keep the floor curious. The mix of international names and Miami selectors makes this more than a festival afterthought.

CHR pick for: Garage, bass, local DJs and a Sunday built around dancing.

3. Four Tet B2B Floating Points B2B Daphni

Saturday, October 17 | Doors 11 p.m.
Club Space, Downtown Miami

Three selectors share the decks on a Satellite bill that also includes Disco Lines, horsegiirL, KETTAMA, MPH, VTSS and others.

Our interest is the musical conversation. A back-to-back set asks each DJ to respond to somebody else’s choices. For listeners who enjoy unexpected connections, that exchange is the reason to go.

CHR pick for: Collaborative DJing and late-night discovery.

4. Doc Martin + Bandito Chico

Friday, October 16 | 10 p.m.–3 a.m.
Lion’s Den, 150 NW 73rd Street, second floor

Doc Martin and Bandito Chico share Friday’s Lion’s Den booking as part of the official III Points Satellite series.

A two-name bill offers a welcome contrast to a festival timetable. This is our alternative for anyone who would rather settle into one room than spend the night moving between stages.

CHR pick for: A focused Friday night behind the decks.

5. La Pachanga

Saturday, October 17 | 9 p.m.–3 a.m. | No cover | 21+
Ball & Chain, 1513 SW 8th Street, Little Havana

Lucy Grau performs live, with DJ Danis La Clave handling the selections for Ball & Chain’s Saturday celebration. Salsa, timba and Latin jazz shape a night that moves between DJ sets and live performance.

This is the reminder that our Music Radar is also a Dance Radar. Sometimes the best way into a record is through a partner’s hand, a turn and the moment your feet catch the rhythm.

Choose La Pachanga when you want participation, not just a place to watch a stage.

CHR pick for: Salsa, live Latin music and social dancing.

6. Lazy Sunday BBQ with III Points

Sunday, October 18 | 1–7 p.m.
The Standard Spa, Miami Beach, 40 Island Avenue

eveava, Bakke and Nikita Green take the weekend bayside with an afternoon of electronic music, house and eclectic selections. Food and drinks are available separately; event admission does not include pool or spa access.

We like this as a change of pace rather than a musical comedown. There is room in the CHR world for a long afternoon, good conversation and a DJ who makes you stay for another record.

CHR pick for: Daytime selections and a relaxed Sunday gathering.

7. Family Pick: ZunZún Children’s Fest

Sunday, October 18 | Doors 1 p.m. | Show 2 p.m.
Miami Beach Bandshell, 7275 Collins Avenue

The Bandshell’s family-focused program pairs Love Is a Verb, performed by Inez Barlatier as Tati Nuzi & Friends, with Con Alma y Fuego from JazzReach. Haitian heritage, participatory songs and Afro-Caribbean and Latin jazz give the afternoon its musical foundation.

This is a different kind of Radar recommendation, but an important one. Music culture needs places where the next generation can participate, ask questions and discover what makes a rhythm feel alive.

CHR pick for: Families, cultural discovery and live musicianship.

The CHR Move

Our lead is III Points for the breadth of discovery. Choose ZeyZey on Sunday for the garage-focused session, or La Pachanga when partner dancing is the priority.

There is no prize for attending everything. Find the room that speaks to you and give it enough time to say something.

Check the organizer’s latest ticket availability, entry requirements and schedule before heading out.
